Maritime Fine Dining

Ahoy there, landlubbers and salty sea dogs!
Last night, The Royal Suites embarked on a Maritime fine dining adventure and it was another night to remember!
With the sea as our backdrop, tenants and staff came together in their finest nautical attire to set sail on an evening filled with fun and Maritime cuisine. We even had a special guest on board – the one and only Aquatariums Oscar the Otter! Oscar mingled with tenants, sharing insights about the Aquatarium and added a splash of local aquatic charm to our event. It was a pleasure to have him with us, making our maritime-themed evening even more special.
Our culinary journey began with the Bacon Deviled Eggs, a fusion of creamy deviled eggs topped with crispy bacon bits, presented on a bed of fresh mixed greens. As we set sail through our entrees, the Lobster Tail and Shrimp dish was a seafood lover’s dream, featuring a 4 oz steamed lobster tail paired with Pacific shrimp and garlic butter—a treasure from the depths of the ocean. Equally enticing was the Mushroom, Spinach, and Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breast, a 6 oz chicken breast filled with sautéed mushrooms, tender spinach, and melted Swiss cheese. Its golden, breaded exterior was a mouth watering experience. Parisienne Potatoes, and Roasted Parsnips offered a medley of flavors and textures that danced like waves alongside our main courses. To conclude our maritime feast was the Lunenburg Bundt Cake with Fruit Compote, a sweet and satisfying treasure chest of flavors to be remembered.
After our delicious meal, we were treated to live music by the one and only Tim Hallman, whose tunes had us swaying like seaweed in the ocean currents.
It’s not every day you get to dine like a sailor, chat with an otter, and groove to live music all in one evening. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our incredible culinary, dietary teams, the Aquatarium and all staff who made this evening possible. Until next time, may your sails be full, your sea legs sturdy, and your appetites as hearty as a pirate’s!
