Celebrating our 7 Year Anniversary!
The Royal Suites Blog post There’s something wonderful about having an occasion to look forward to — a reason to get dressed up, gather with friends, enjoy an exceptional meal and celebrate together.
At The Royal Suites, our Fine Dining evenings have become one of those special traditions. They bring our tenants together around the table for an evening that feels a little different from the everyday — and our most recent Fine Dining event gave us an especially meaningful reason to celebrate.
The Royal Suites is celebrating seven years!
Over the past seven years, The Royal Suites has grown into much more than an independent living community. It is a place where friendships have formed, neighbours have become friends, traditions have been created, and countless memories have been shared.
What better way to celebrate than with really good food, beautiful surroundings, live entertainment and great company?
Our culinary team created an incredible menu for the evening, beginning with house-made Garlic Rosemary Herb Focaccia, featuring roasted garlic and fresh rosemary.
For the main course, tenants could choose between Pot Roast with Demi Glace, featuring slow-cooked chuck roast with a rich demi-glace gravy, or Shrimp Scampi, with sautéed shrimp tossed in garlic butter, parsley and lemon and served over spaghetti noodles.
The entrées were accompanied by creamy Scalloped Potatoes and Braised Cabbage, sautéed and braised in white wine and chicken stock with thyme.
And because every celebration deserves a wonderful dessert, the evening finished with Hall’s Apples Apple Pie, made with Spartan apples from Hall’s Orchard.
But Fine Dining at The Royal Suites has never been just about the menu.
It’s about creating an experience.
Shelley and Leighann absolutely outdid themselves with the décor, transforming the dining space into an elegant and welcoming setting for the evening. The attention to detail helped make our anniversary celebration feel every bit as special as the milestone deserved.
We were also delighted to welcome Vickie Spurrell, whose live entertainment provided the perfect backdrop to an evening of dining, conversation and celebration.
At The Royal Suites, we believe there is real value in continuing to celebrate life’s moments. Milestones matter. Traditions matter. Having something special on the calendar to anticipate matters, too.
And food has an incredible way of bringing all of those things together.
Some of life’s best conversations happen around a table. Meals are where stories are told, laughter is shared, friendships deepen and memories are made. Our Fine Dining evenings give our tenants another opportunity to experience exactly that — right here at home.
That sense of community is such an important part of life at The Royal Suites. Independent living means having the freedom to live life on your own terms, while also having neighbours, friends, activities and experiences just outside your door when you want them.
After seven years, it is wonderful to look around the room during an evening like this and see the community that has grown here.
We are incredibly grateful to our kitchen and dining teams for the time, talent and care they put into creating such a beautiful meal; to Shelley and Leighann for making the room look spectacular; and to Vickie Spurrell for helping us celebrate with wonderful live entertainment.
Most importantly, thank you to our tenants past and present who have made The Royal Suites the community it is today.
Happy 7th Anniversary to The Royal Suites!
Here’s to seven wonderful years of friendship, laughter, good food and great memories — and to many more celebrations around the table together.
